Our Waters Belong to Us.
It's up to all of us to care for the beautiful river system that connects our communities. Legal access to our rivers is our right. The Milwaukee Urban Water Trail map was developed in order to help the community gain access to the Milwaukee, Menomonee, and Kinnickinnic Rivers, safely.

Everyone deserves the opportunity to paddle the Milwaukee Urban Water Trail, regardless of physical ability levels. While progress has been made to incorporate new launches that allow paddlers with accessibility needs to get out on the water, most existing public access sites were developed many years ago, when universal accessibility was not considered in their design. Even today, there are no specific design standards for water access facilities that accommodate people with disabilities.
